The LOS ANGELES COMIC BOOK AND SCIENCE FICTION CONVENTION has another great show on JUNE 8. WILLIAM SHATNER, the emmy award winning actor from Boston Legal, Star Trek, and T.J. Hooker appears to sign UP TILL NOW: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF WILLIAM SHATNER at 2:00 P.M.

UP TILL NOW covers WILLIAM SHATNER'S entire career and personal life with many rare photos (did you know that WILLIAM SHATNER starred with Adam West (Batman) in a 1964 TV Pilot for a series called ALEXANDER THE GREAT before STAR TREK). WILLIAM SHATNER will only sign all copies of UP TILL NOW purchased at the Convention, and all proceeds from the UP TILL NOW signing will be donated to WILLIAM SHATNER'S HOLLYWOOD CHARITY HORSE SHOW. WILLIAM SHATNER is a very fast signer and will be able to sign the book for everyone (and there's a large shipment of books so there's plenty of copies). WILLIAM SHATNER will not be signing any other items but the book, and while he will not be able to pose for pictures, you can take a picture while he's signing.

KEVIN GREVIOUX is the co-creator of the UNDERWORLD film series, as well as starring as Raze the lycan in UNDERWORLD and the upcoming UNDERWORLD 3:THE RISE OF THE LYCANS. KEVIN is also the regular Writer for the MARVEL COMIC BOOK series THE NEW WARRIORS, and the about to be released YOUNG AVENGERS PRESENTS: STATURE#5. KEVIN is working on many Comic Book projects, such as a new Zombie series for Red 5 Comics called ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction. KEVIN will be signing from 11:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. at a table in the Dealers Room. You can bring your THE NEW WARRIORS and YOUNG AVENGERS PRESENTS: STATURE#5 for KEVIN to sign, and copies of these Comic Books will be available to purchase at the Convention.

JAMES KYSON LEE of HEROES was listed as a Guest for JUNE 8, but now will be rescheduled to appear at another time. STAN LEE'S appearance at the MAY 4 show was very well received, and STAN will probably appear later this year for another signing.

So here’s what The Antidote Trust needs from you. Are you interested in participating in the SDCC08 TAT booth? If so, let us know soon. We need to get a payment in full to the Comic-Con people ASAP.

Including 3 booths, corner premium, truck, insurance, signage, furniture, etc., we are looking at a necessary amount of $7,000 to pull off what we executed last year. Obviously, the more companies involved, the less it will cost per person. If we have the same number of participants this year that we had last year, we are looking at $777 per company. We have more space this year, let’s aim for more participants and bring down that cost.

If you are interested in participating in the SDCC08, even if you have told me in person, please send me an e-mail by the end of the week so that we can figure out the cost per company and send another e-mail with the mailing and amount particulars.

Just as an FYI, you will not be making any checks or money orders out to TAT or any of the members, you will be making these money orders/checks out to San Diego Comic Con International. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know. I can be contacted at dale@dwapproductions.com at any time. I will get back to you ASAP.

ALSO 02 – about other conventions, I will be attending WonderCon this year to gauge whether or not it is something for DWAP/TAT to think about. Richard at Dial C has been the spearhead for NYCC which seems to be coming along nicely and we are also giving Chicago consideration/work at this point. I will be the frontperson on APE later in the year. If you have any interest in these shows, contact us sooner than later.

Oh, The Antidote Trust. Look at you -- gathering independent comics creators and bucking the conventional wisdom of the system, working together and making things work through collective work and responsibility. Aren't people supposed to be less professional than you are? Why aren't your comics of lower quality? Less interesting? More juvenile? Isn't that what everybody expects? You're quite sassy, exceeding everyone's expectations that way.

What's that? Now you're rocking it on Blogger? You'll have faster and more frequent updates? Your ability to distribute and showcase information is better than ever? Well, don't you just deserve a cookie?

Keep up the good work. I'm gonna go have some pie.

So TAT members have a lot going on this year and we thought it would be good to have a way of keeping everyone up to date easily and efficiently. Here it is, the new TAT site. It might not be permanent but it is up and running for now.
